i guess you dont need any formal schooling, as my dance teacher never went to bussiness school or anything, however it would probably be a good idea to get certified. this website is one such certification…

Drama – general DVD – Norman Mailer wrote and directed this demented film noir, which takes place in a Provincetown of perpetual twilight. Most of the tale, based on his best-selling novel, is told in flashback as Dougy Madden (Lawrence Tierney) pays a visit to his son Tim (Ryan O’Neal). Dougy, a tough ex-bartender, is ravaged by cancer and decides to see Tim one last time in order. But Tim is suffering both from writer’s block and from the effects of too many years of drink, drugs, and sex. His sexy wife Patty Lariene (Debra Sandlund) has recently left him and disappeared. Even worse, one morning he awakens from his stupor to find the front seat of his car covered with blood and a severed head inside his drug stash. He tries to rekindle a relationship with his ex-wife Madeleine (Isabella Rossellini), now married to the psychotic Provincetown police chief, Alvin Luther Regency (Wings Hauser), and he re-acquaints himself with old prep school friend Wardley Meeks III (John Bedford Lloyd), who was also married to the missing Patty Lareine. As the murders pile up and Tim’s psyche takes a beating, Dougy decides to help Tim put an end to this chaotic mess of murders. – Tough Guys Don’t Dance (DVD)

I want to tryout for my school song team for next year. Tryouts are in late April early May. I do take a dance class currently, but I’ve seen how these girls dance and it is no easy matter. Hahaha x)
What techniques do i need to master to make the squad? Anything in particular? What can I do to really stand out? Any Tips would help a lot. (: thanks
You might be surprised at how much easier their dancing might come to you than you think if you make the team. The point of the team is to make it look really really good like that. I just made the dance team at my college this year and when I saw the audition dance I didn’t think I had any chance of making it. But, lucky for you, you have a few months to prepare. What I would say is take note of how the girls on the team dance. Try to figure out their style. Are they very smooth with the way they dance? Are they more like a pounding hip-hop? How big do they make their moves? Just a couple of questions to consider. Once you have their style figured out, see if for the audition you can kind of try to dance that way, but don’t be afraid to put your own little bit of style into it. It’ll make you stand out just that much more. Have fun and good luck!

I am extremely interested in dance and doing it professionally, but where I live I am unable to get that sort of training. The dance schools don’t produce professionals. My dream for high school is to attend a dance residency. It could be anywhere. Seriously, anywhere. I am currently a freshman in high school and dancing is my dream. Could anyone give me any names of dance residencies?
I would prefer low cost programs, or ones that offer scholarships, but any will do – for I have had difficulty finding any.
Thank you!
The Harid Conservatory in FL is one of the best. Room & Board is what costs, but tuition is free to those who get accepted from their audition.
